Cloud or on-premises: how to choose
Fidsor Team15 Jul 2026
Every FidsorOne conversation eventually reaches the same fork: should this run in your cloud, or on our servers? Here's how we help customers decide.
What's identical either way
The suite itself. Same apps, same features, same updates. On-premises is not a lesser edition — it's the same platform with a different home.
Choose cloud when
- You don't have (or don't want) a server room and someone to mind it.
- You want backups, monitoring and updates to be our problem.
- Your team works from multiple locations and the office network isn't special.
Choose on-premises when
- Regulation or policy says the data stays in the building.
- Your connectivity is unreliable and the business can't stop when the internet does.
- You already run infrastructure and want FidsorOne inside it.
Moving later
Both directions are supported. Businesses that start in the cloud sometimes move on-premises as they grow into their own IT; on-premises customers sometimes hand the keys to us. Either way, it's a migration, not a rebuild.
